Tomas Rosicky

Having Tomas back in Arsenal's colours was one of the most heartwarming sights of last season.

The Czech sat out 18 months with a seemingly innocuous injury which soon escalated into something much more serious. But he returned with a goal at Manchester City in September 2009 and appears to have lost none of the craft, cleverness or final-third invention that makes Tomas one of Arsenal's match-winners.

Before picking up that injury in January 2008, the long-time Czech international had racked up 61 appearances and 13 goals in his first two seasons with the Gunners.

If he keeps away from the treatment table, Tomas' experience will be valuable on and off the pitch this term. And his eye for an opening can still break down the most stubborn of defences.
