Robin Van Persie

Robin Van Persie is moving into the prime of his career.

The Dutchman returned to Arsenal in August buoyed by a successful World Cup. He so nearly lifted the greatest global prize in the sport, now he is concentrating on winning his first Premier League title in England.

Van Persie’s quality is not in doubt. He is an expert goal-taker and goal-maker with a penchant for free-kicks. That description fitted another of Arsenal’s famous Dutchmen and it was no surprise when the 27-year-old took Dennis Bergkamp’s No 10 shirt when it became available this season.

At times, injury has hampered his contribution but Van Persie is experienced, tenacious and passionate. He will literally lead Arsenal’s attack this season.
