It is well known now that when Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger makes it clear that a player will remain a Gunner then that is what will happen, no matter how much the player or players stamp their feet in frustration.

Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas have now been left in no doubt that their boss will not allow them to leave The Emirates, his latest comments simply leave no ambiguity on the subject.

Speaking with regards to Nasri, Wenger said,

“We will do everything to keep Nasri at the club. My wish is that he stays here,”

“If he looks back he can see that he’s come quite a long way with us, and I think there is still a bit to do.

“It’s the club that makes the player’s career.”

Wenger then went on and confirmed his ongoing stance with regards to club captain Fabregas,

“I will be pretty clear about this. For me, Fabregas is with Arsenal for a long time and he will stay with Arsenal.

“It sometimes happens that the rumour can make the transfer.

“Next year will see the introduction of the financial fair play system, which will limit the big transfers.

“I think this is the last year that the summer will be hot – very hot.”

So there you have it, Nasri and Fabregas will not be allowed to leave by Wenger, the Arsenal manager showed last summer when he withstood the pressure from Barcelona that he is an unmovable obstacle and only if Wenger changes his mind will either Nasri or Fabregas be allowed to leave.

That does not look like it will happen any time soon.

Eno

Eno This is heart warming as most Arsenal fans would like to see Fabregas and Nasri remain in Arsenal, so that the club can achieve some medals come next football season.

walezbee Wenger should try to keep Nasri and Fabregas because they are both excellent players Arsenal could not afford to lose if we really want to win silverware in the coming season
