The Sunday Mirror says Wenger’s first choice to come into his back four is Jagielka, of Everton.

Arsenal had a £10m bid for the England international rejected but they have not been put off.

An improved offer will be made to the cash-strapped Merseysiders this week. It is believed Arsenal will go as high as £15m for the 28-year-old and Everton may find it difficult to reject.

samieyoyo Well Jagielka has always been admired by Wenger and his inclusion in the team will give arsenal options in the middle and Vermalen can move to the left side of the defense. He is English, good in the air and a good man marker not forgetting that at 28 has experience on his side.
