Barcelona have a deal already in place to sign Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, according to Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
With presidential election campaigns gathering pace at the Nou Camp, the Catalan giants are said to be intensifying their pursuit of the Catalan playmaker, who has been a long-term target.
Arsenal are reportedly very unhappy with the situation, with chief executive Ivan Gazidis apparently writing to the Spanish giants warning them off the player. Fabgreas, 22, has made no secret in the past of his desire to one day play for the Blaugrana (whom he left as a 16-year-old to join the Gunners), but has also insisted that he is happy at the moment at the Emirates.
"There is no concern at all," the manager said of the endless speculation about Cesc's future, according to Sporting Life. What is more of a concern is that we try everything to win something.
Barcelona are believed to willing to pay £40 million for the midfielder. However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger insists that the player is going nowhere, at least not for the moment. He also maintains that his focus right now is on bringing some silverware to the Emirates this season.
"He is committed when he plays, what's the future? We don't know what will happen in six months, in two years, in five years."
