Fabregas: I’m no rebel

The Arsenal skipper, 24, is a long-term target for his boyhood club Barca.

But Fabregas said: "Ever since I was 11 I have dreamt of playing for Barca. Whether it happens or not I don't know.

"I don't have to come out in every Press conference to say I want to join Barca. Who would I fool at this stage over what my dream is?"

The Spanish star, 24, has won only an FA Cup since joining the Gunners at 16 from Barca's youth academy.

Arsenal were chasing a Quadruple but suffered a spectacular slump following their Carling Cup defeat by Birmingham.

And the Gunners captain admitted: "I'm frustrated at not winning titles. We always fall just before reaching the gates.

"If one day I leave Arsenal, today, tomorrow, in five years or never, I'll say so the day it happens, never before. I won't lack respect for the club that has given me so much."
