here's some Wilshere quotes by the way:
"He's been over in England eight years, but Barcelona is his home. It's hard for him so I can understand where he's coming from," admitted the England international.
"But hes the Arsenal captain and he's been great this season and we hope he can be great next season.
"In some of our games he has been our best player by a mile, and we need to keep our best players if we want to win things.
"He likes Arsenal, and I'm sure he wants to be at Arsenal. If they can reach an agreement then I'm sure he'll want to stay. He needs to stay."

There were reports earlier this week that Real Madrid had decided to approach Arsenal for Cesc Fabregas after Arsene Wenger announced that Barcelona would not be bidding for the Gunners captain this summer.
It seems the Real Madrid director Jose Angel Sanchez contacted Arsene Wenger earlier this week, and he has been told that the bidding must start a 60m euros (£54m) according to this morning?s Sun.

They quote a Madrid source as saying: ?The president Florentino Perez has identified Fabregas as the one signing above all others to hurt Barcelona.
?He believes signing Fabregas would be a real statement of intent for next season. He will do whatever is needed to put the club back above Barca.?
Madrid have already spent squillions trying to dislodge Barcelona from their perch at the top of the tree, and even with superstars from all over the world (plus Jose Mourinho!), Madrid are still floundering in second place.
With Fabregas added to their all-star cast, perhaps they can close the gap a little further?..

ok here we go:
Arsene Wenger has opened the door for Cesc Fabregas to quit Arsenal ? and that means the Spanish star?s on-off move to Barcelona could finally happen this summer.
Reports in Spain claim the Gunners boss has given up hope of persuading his captain to stay, admitting he can?t hope to keep him given the club?s six-year trophy drought.
But Wenger won?t sell Fabregas to another Premier League team, scuppering any hopes Manchester City had of persuading him to move to Eastlands.

and another one regarding his salary being cut down if he joins Barcelona:
The Arsenal captain will miss out on around £2m-a-year if he leaves the Emirates for the Nou Camp this summer.
The Gunners are believed to have offered their captain an extra £2m per season to stay in north London, without increasing the length of his contract.
But Arsene Wenger's efforts seem to be in vain as the 24-year-old's agent Darren Dein is scheduled to meet with Barca directors this week.

Bacary Sagna:
?I can say it?s true that Cesc wants to go to Barca,? the right-back told former Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Fernandez on France?s RMC radio station.
?Fabregas wants to return to his country of birth, to his city, where his family are; he wants to play for one of the best teams in the world, Barcelona, and that?s understandable.
?At the moment, however, he is still Arsenal?s captain.?

Barcelona may be ready to crank up their offer for Cesc Fabregas after raising another £9million from flogging Bojan Krkic to Roma.
The Spanish and European champions are understood to have a strict transfer budget this summer and are yet to meet Arsenal's valuation for their captain, which is reported to be around £45m.

I read on the spanish press Barcelona would want to pay Fabregas in 3 years.. that is bollocks seriously, they splashed a sick lot of money for that Ukranian back in 2009 (not to mention the cash for Ibrahimovic) and we should accept their strategy now? I hope this club is not such a joke

Barça keeper Victor Valdes has claimed that the 2010 World Cup winner is already looking forward to returning to the Nou Camp.
"Cesc is excited about coming back here and I'd like that," the keeper said at the launch of his official website.
"His way of playing would mean he'd have no problems adapting and he'd bring a lot of quality."
