Cesc fabregas' hamstring injuries (#1947) on 26-11-2010 at 09:46:20
The Gunners boss fears his Spanish skipper may be putting too much pressure on himself because of his burning desire to get the team back on track at home and abroad
"All the data we had was positive so it's difficult to say to a player 'I know you're fit, I know you feel good, but you don't play'. "
"He has more on his shoulders than before. There is pressure to deliver, pressure of being captain. I don't know if that has an influence. It's difficult as you can have psychological or physical reasons. He wants to play football and he feels responsibility to win things. "
"We have analysed his body and it's not fatigued. So where does the problem come from? From his back or because he is naturally not flexible? We are investigating as much as we can. I'll do what is right for him and for the club but I will listen of course to medical people."
The Emirates boss said: "Usually people exposed to hamstring injuries are sprinters like Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs. Cesc is a ball-giver, more a stamina player and that's what puzzles me."

Let's hope he can be back soon enough we always need him. As regards the pressure thing, that's good as it means he wants to win but we play better when our heads are free and we can play our natural way otherwise we're all gonna play against ourselves..
