MANAGER QUOTES

Arsene Wenger on approaching his 15th anniversary in charge of Arsenal: “There is plenty not to be happy about. I never look back and I am not an anniversary fan. In top-level sport you have to see what comes next and try to focus on that. The only thing that matters to me is [Wednesday] night.”

Ernesto Valverde: "What interests us most is the championship. The Champions League is something extra. As for the game against Arsenal, we know that we're playing one of the best teams in Europe. We will try to play well and get a positive result."

MATCH FACTS

Arsenal haven’t lost at home in the Champions League to a non-English side since September 2003 (0-3 v Inter Milan).

Arsenal have won 19 of their last 23 home games in the group stages of the Champions League – their last defeat being that 3-0 reverse against Inter.

Arsenal and Olympiacos met in the group stages of the Champions League two seasons ago, with the Gunners winning 2-0 at the Emirates but losing 1-0 away.

Olympiacos have lost all five of their away trips to England in the Champions League, conceding 15 goals and scoring only one in the process.

In fact, in 32 trips to England by Greek clubs, only one has managed to come back with a win: AEK Athens againstDerby County in the 1976/77 UEFA Cup.

Alex Song made more tackles than any other player on matchday one (12).

Robin van Persie has scored eight goals in his last 10 Champions League games at the Emirates Stadium.
