Bolton manager Owen Coyle expects scouts from all the top Premier League clubs to watch defender Gary Cahill at Wigan.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs are all interested in the £15m-rated England centre half, but Coyle insists Cahill, 24, is 'a million miles' away from leaving the Reebok Stadium.

talkSPORT this week revealed that Afellay will be transfer listed when the window opens after telling PSV he does not want to sign a contract extension - sparking the interest of a whole host of clubs.

While Premier League clubs Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool remain keen, Barcelona have sought to trump their rivals by making the first move for Afellay.

The Dutch winger has claimed he would welcome a move to England but that was before Barcelona's interest in him became apparent. Pep Guardiola has monitored the tricky star since the start of the season and is now ready to make a bid in January.

PSV will demand around £10m for Afellay and Guardiola hopes by making the first move, he will now be in a position to beat other clubs to the signature of the highly rated Dutchman.
